Shopify stores built around your catalog

You want a store that stays up, takes payment cleanly and launches without a long custom build. Shopify does that well. Our Shopify development is built around your catalog, your fulfillment and the people who run the store, and because our e-commerce development team works across Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and custom carts, we recommend Shopify only when those facts point to it.

When they do, we build the whole store: a theme written for your products, the apps worth installing, a checkout that carries your brand and clean data behind all of it.

We map products, variants, collections, bundles and metafields first, because a store with hundreds of variants per product behaves nothing like one with a handful. Get that structure wrong and every filter, collection page and product feed inherits the problem.

Then our web design and development team designs the storefront and builds custom sections your staff can rearrange in the theme editor, so a new landing page or seasonal collection is in your own hands. We also configure what sits outside the theme: shipping rules, tax settings, discount logic, notification emails and product feeds.

Themes, apps and custom extensions

A brand owner packs a candle into a box in a bright studio while a developer behind a laptop checks the store.

Every app you install adds weight to your pages, another monthly subscription, or both. The theme decides how the store looks and how quickly it loads, so we write custom Liquid themes on Shopify's sections architecture, with light code that keeps pages quick for shoppers.

We're choosy about apps. Where an established app does a job well, we install and configure it, because there's no sense rebuilding what already works. Where an app would add page weight or a monthly fee for one small function, we build a custom app or a theme app extension instead.

The store also has to talk to the rest of your business. Orders, stock levels and buyer records move between Shopify and your other tools through API integration built for reliability: every message is tracked and retried until it arrives.

A developer and a merchant review a checkout page on a laptop beside a stack of parcels.

Checkout extensibility and what replaced checkout.liquid

If someone customized your checkout a few years ago, it's worth a look now. Shopify has been replacing the old checkout.liquid file and additional scripts with checkout extensibility, and code left in those old places can stop doing what it was written to do.

The replacement is more structured. Checkout UI extensions add fields, messages and logic at set points in checkout. Shopify Functions customize the rules behind it: discounts, delivery options, payment methods and cart validation.

Your Shopify plan sets the options: the information, shipping and payment steps are open to Shopify Plus stores, and the Thank you page is open through blocks.

We audit what's left in the old places, rebuild each customization with extensions, Functions and web pixels, then test the whole path from cart to confirmation email. Your buyers keep the checkout they rely on, rebuilt on tools Shopify supports. Three dates drove the switch.

  • The additional scripts section has been view-only since 28 August 2025.
  • Shopify Scripts stopped running on 30 June 2026.
  • The deadline for stores not on Plus to upgrade their Thank you and Order status pages was 26 August 2026.

Migrating from WooCommerce, Magento or a custom cart

Two people compare an old store on a laptop with a new store on a tablet, a box of products between them.

A migration moves more than products. We carry over the catalog, buyer accounts, order history and discount codes, so returning buyers find what they left behind.

Then we map every old address to its new one with a one-to-one redirect, so links and search engines reach the right new page. For SEO, titles, descriptions, structured data, image names and internal links are compared with the old site before launch, and a crawl before and after shows exactly what moved.

Every platform hides its own logic. A store coming from WooCommerce or Magento carries extension logic that has to be rebuilt as Shopify apps or Functions. A hand-coded cart, like the custom shopping carts we build, holds business rules in its code, so we document each rule before anything is switched off.

A finance lead and an operations manager reconcile orders, payments and shipping labels at a table.

Payments, shipping and the systems behind the store

Your finance team should see one picture of what sold, however the buyer paid. Buyers pay with the cards and wallets you enable, and we configure PayPal beside them when your buyers expect it.

If you also take invoices, subscriptions or app payments outside the store, we connect Stripe to the same order data. Shipping rates, carrier labels, inventory and accounting connect through the same tested connections, so nobody re-keys an order into a second system.

Two growth paths start from the same store. When the theme becomes the limit, headless commerce development keeps Shopify as the back end and moves the storefront to custom code, without changing how you run orders. Brands that sell on visual discovery can add Pinterest for product brands, where the catalog feeds shopping ads.

Shopify Development Questions & Answers

Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento: which fits my catalog?

Shopify hosts the store and keeps the platform updated for you. WooCommerce runs inside WordPress on hosting you choose, with full freedom over the code. Magento is built for very large catalogs, layered pricing and business-to-business rules. We build on all three, and your catalog, your order volume and the people running the store decide which one we recommend.

Can you customize the Shopify checkout?

Yes. Checkout UI extensions add your own content at fixed points in checkout, and Shopify Functions handle the logic underneath, from which discounts combine to which delivery and payment options appear. Shopify Plus opens the deepest options, and we confirm what your plan allows before anyone designs a screen, so every idea on the table is one we can build.

How do you protect search visibility when you move my store?

A redirect from each old URL to its true match, product for product, sends visitors and search engines to the right new page, and its title, description and structured data travel with it. After launch we watch Search Console closely and tune anything that needs it.

Which Shopify apps do you connect and which do you build?

Every app is weighed on three things: how well it does the job, what it adds to page load, and how well it works with the systems you already use. Plenty of established apps clear that bar, and we install and configure them. When an app falls short, we build the feature as a custom app or theme app extension.

How is my Shopify store built and looked after?

Your store is set up for your business from day one, and we work inside it as your Shopify team. Every theme change and custom app we write is clean, documented where it helps and built to grow with your catalog. After launch, the team that built your store stays available for every change that comes next.
